Am i the only one who's media player crashes when trying to watch recent movies with subtitles?
When there are no subtitles, i can watch the movie fine, but when trying to use some sub or srt, wmp crashes...
Anyone else with the same problem?
If not, how can i solve it?
Many thx in advance.
Cheers.
Did you read the post entitled When posting bugs... ?
You've given us no information to work with, i.e, the build your using, did you encode the xvid's yourself, what filter your using to decode xvid, what type of subs(vobsub?), the file format (OGM, AVI) etc, etc
Please go read the FAQ, Sticky posts as well as the forum rules again. If this wasn't your first post ever here I would have striked you.
Ill leave the thread open so you can post your full settings and information, and then maybe we can help you.

However, what's the point with XviD ??
Does this only happens with XviD movies ?
If yes, maybe you display subtitles using FFDShow, in that case, you should report your issue in the FFDSow thread...
If not:
Have you tried another player ? Such as Media Player Classic, BSPlayer, The Core Media Player, which can natively handle with subtitles ?
Have you try to deinstall the prog you use to view subtitles (DVobSub, DivXG400, or whatever it is) and reinstall it ?
Whatever, maybe you'll have more answers in the "Subtitles" part of the forum (just an idea, though).

Sorry, Nic, i didn't knew if it was a bug, since i didn't know if the problem was on my machine, or someone else had it.
Anyway, thx to NoLogo, i was able to solve the thing. I installed some recent ffdshow filters and the problem was solved.
Many, many thx NoLogo, and once again, sorry Nic and everyone else who might get mad with my post.
Cheers.
BTW: The problem was only with xvid encoded movies.
