I just got myself a new computer, installed GKNOT and now I always get the following error message when I start to rip a DVD:
EXCEPTION: Encoder Thread Terminated
EXCEPTION: I/O error 103
I have all codecs installed and they work fine. Besides I have XP installed.
Any kinda help is highly appreciated.

"I/O error" usually has something to do with the program not being able to read, write, rename, delete a file.
maybe you do not have rights to write into a certain folder or the disk is full or something like that...

Kewly, you don't mention at what stage in the process the problem occurs (DVD Decrypter, DVD2AVI, BeSweet, Vdub/Nandub..) nor have you posted any _Gknot.log file output.
Perhaps if you could provide more information, our answers would be more helpful.

1. copied the vobs onto hd
2. used dvd2avi to create an avs file
3. selected the correct AR, sound, size etc.
4. wanted to start the ripping process
5. error occured when I started the ripping process. if i try to create a mp3 vbr file it works fine, so it has to have something to do with avs file as I just found out that I can't even open it in nandub/vd

Hi-
...just found out that I can't even open it in nandub/vd
When you installed GKnot, did you install both the Rip Pack and the System Pack? It sounds as if you don't have AviSynth installed (which is in the System Pack).
