n't understand what i'm doing wrong. It might be worth tellig you guys that i'm a newbe.
Can it have something to whit that i'm using AC3 audio? Hmm, but then the wierd part is that the music videos i ripped stil is 25 frames and the use mp3 audio.

the framerate you choose in gk is for calculations purposes only, to really get 23.976 fps you should ivtc it but if your source is pal it shouldnt be interlaced so i don't think you need to do that

No, It's PAL. So you mean that i really should stick to 25 fps. Btw, where can i read about ivtc(?) or what's it called. So Everytime the video is interlaced i really don't need to change the framerate?
Okay, thanx alot!

take a look here http://doom9.org/ivtc-tut.htm or do a search for "ivtc" or "telecine"

Btw. Is it important to use 23 frames per second instead of 25 frames. Cuz i use 25 frames per second now and i think it work fine. Please tell my if there is something that's not that good about it. And perhaps how to downsample it to 23 frames per second
?

No, after you seem to be in a PAL region, you should keep the 25 frames. That's normal and from what I know (Hakko could tell you better), PAL DVDs are not interlaced in the way NTSC DVDs are. Pal runs with the "normal" movie speed (in fact the speed for movies for cinemas is 24fps, Pal DVDs play the same movie with 25fps, so it's a bit faster). When movies are brought from the cinema version to the DVD version in NTSC, then afaik they get some frames doubled, so they have to play it with 30fps. You say this DVD is telecined. So you can make a "pulldown" that deletes the doubled frames and encode at the resulting 23.97fps (24fps). Normally, in the PAL region, you don't have to bother with interlacing when encoding movies that where captured on film (movies that ran in the cinema). Only for TV serial you would use a deinterlacer. But I'm no expert at this, so maybe you'd like to ask Hakko from the Avisynth forum.
Best regards,
