Poll: AviSynth logo 1/2

As some of you might have noticed we don't have a logo for AviSynth. So we asked you to design a logo, in this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45732). At the end we gathered 18 logo's! We are very pleased with the nice submissions, and we want to thank you for sending them.

Now it is the time to choose a logo. Some criteria which you can use in your choise are

Visual Style
How it fits to avisynth.org
Overall aesthetic quality

Shayne has been so kind to make this jpg, note that the logo's are numbered from 1 to 18. Over ten days the poll will be closed (friday 11th of April, 13:00 GMT, but if I did it right it will close automatically), and the winner will be known ...

The poll is divided over two posts (since a max. of ten is allowed). This post contains the votes for the logo's 1-9.

I think, that logo (generally) must be simple and symbolic. Mainly for Avisynth.

Many logos are too complex (only for me?) and hardly reproducible.

I do agree with HarryM, most of them are quite complex, then my vote went to the simpliest one (n°9).

PS: vote purcentages shown are only for the current page, is there any way to have them split between pages 1 and 2 ?

Heh, don't vote when your half asleep. I read the logo diagram wrong and voted for the wrong one. Oh well. It's not like I was voting for the next president or something. What! I was? Oh man, this ballet is so confusing.

So, moral of the story, make sure to know the number scheme. The logo's numbers are placed at the bottom right hand corner. =.)

I like the first one the best because it is simplest, and for second place I like number 9.

I don't think so, but the absolute numbers are also listed.

Why do you want to reproduce the logo? If you want to have it, just ask for it.

Well, about purcentages, current ones (at 16:10) are:
10 + 3.33 + 0 + 3.33 + 10 + 10 + 3.33 + 0 + 60 = 100 (page 1/2) for 30 votes
5 + 0 + 20 + 5 + 5 + 47.5 + 7.5 + 10 + 5 + 0 = 100 (page 2/2) for 40 votes
So the purcentages do not show the absolute choice, but only for the current page (this is not so important, I agree, cause the number of votes is here too).

Maybe one more serious problem, if the rule "one head, one voice" apllies: it is possible to vote on both pages (I did it, sorry). But it may be difficult to correct this since the vote is splitted i two parts.

Maybe the simple thing to do is do a "FINALs" poll with the winner of poll 1 and poll 2. This effectively negates the double vote problem. That looks like it would be between Logo 9 and Logo 14 (yes, I voted in both to see results as I think many will :-) )

In the case that the winners of poll 1 and poll 2 have about the same number of votes, we will do that. If not, I don't see a reason to revote.

I can make a 'little' facelifting (colors, e.g.) of my logo (No. 13) too... :D

I saw this mainly for the non-iconic logo.
Logo9 is graphically very nice but IMO misses (as all other from 1-9) to show at first sight what AviSynth is.
What brought me very quickly to #12 because it even shows the "correct" uppercase writing.

Yeah, I initially liked #9 because of the clean image. Then I started staring at #14, but now find myself swinging towards #12.

I wish we could have larger sizes to look at for the final three or four. This is hurting my eyes :-)

/edit - I made them bigger and yes, definately, #12 does the job much better than the rest, IMO.

Hi i have touched it up a bit since i threw it together in about an hour just as a block schmatic. I have the psd of it in better format for you if you would like it. It now looks fine on both light and dark backgrounds

PS had a bad system crash last night machine ran for 72 hours then decided to reboot and it comes back bad or corrupt sys/config bad block on hard drive is where i am looking. Will be a little slow. Be backed up and be bulletproof.

Funny since i emailed it to you to get it posted when doom9 forums' attach was down should be on ur HD somewhere.
