There are a lot of people being pointed to Doom9's Guides and software Downloads section in www.doom9.org. How about a shortcut link in the header for convenience.
Just a stupid question, but there's a link to the forums on the main site, but there is no link back to the main site in the forums site? Well, if one exists, is no easy task finding it.

Okay, I feel really stupid now.:p It's in the "forum rules" link. How embarrassing that it's rule #1.:o:o
Though, it would be nice if it was outside the forum rules page link and easily seen in the header by itself.;)

Hi 2COOL-
Maybe I misunderstand the question, but at the bottom of all the forum pages, right next to the Contact Us link, is the link back to the main page of Doom9.org.

true, a link is there, but you shouldn't "hide" it from visitors...
Welcome to Doom9's Forum, THE in-place to be for everyone interested in DVD conversion.
There could also be a remark like "be sure to read through doom9.org before posting your questions". Or just a Link to doom9.org in "Welcome to Doom9's Forum" where the "Doom9" would be the Link to doom9.org.
I think this wasn't the first time that someone asked and there are always a lot of people who think the same but do not talk about it... so maybe that would be a good addition to the headline in the forum. :D

On the old board we had links for each sub-forum, for instance the small forum description text after the name (Forum / Site Suggestions & Help) would have links to FAQs and Guides on the subject. Unfortunately vbb does not allow for HTML code in those fields so we have no links except for what's in the sticky FAQs. I can of course add a link where suggested but I'm not conviced it will make much of a difference. I think links have to be as close to the target (so individual forums) as possible. Maybe vbb3 will allow for HTML but right now I don't know that.
