Hi !
I'm trying to import the m2v file of Monsters inc PAL and all i get is a 12 seconds file !!!

I've read somewhere that it is because of a multi-pgc problem.

I have no time and don't want to do the extensive full disc backups of the doom guides, and always prefer to do a dvd9 to 5 with maestro in order to define the first languages and subs used.

The use of these backups are for my kids to put the disk on the dvd tray and watch the movies without further configurations.

So, help would be very appreciated !!!

Again...
In Maestro, the time line indicates a 1 hour delay

If i open the .m2v with scenarist i get a 1:28 minutes movie

if its a multipgc problem, then extract the main movie PGC rather then VTS.

Did you re encode it, I had this problem once and it was when I tried to import an M2V that I had taken straight from the DVD (The world is not enough).

It didn't need re encoding, because it was small enough but it solved that problem.

Or if you want a disc for the kids to just put in and play try muxxing with Ifoedit and make a movie only disc.

Hi !

Effectively i can do it in ifoedit, but rather prefer Maestro.

So the problem still poses, because if someone imports a m2v file with 1 hour and 28 minutes extracted from a dvd to maestro shouldn't get a 12 second movie file !

Does someone knows how to tweak Maestro to make the correct import, besides doing a reencode of the movie ?

Thanks in advance, Nuno

I had this problem with a couple movies and started my own thread regarding this issue. I finally figured out the problem and rather than typing it all over again, take a look http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47857

Good Luck
