Reading a >100min discs requires special support by the firmware, and squeezing the pits/lands will cause more errors when the disc is damaged. Instead of about 2mm, then 1.6mm would suffice to cause an E32 error.

The only interesting about the drive for me is the possibility of beta, FE and jitter measurements...GigaRec is a nice toy, but you should use it very carefully
