hi alex,
i'm the usual balls breacker;) !!!!
this times i write you for my friend that has bought a soundblaster audigy 2 soundcard!! he has also an inspire 6.1 6700 speakers set (but this is not important because we test also with an inspire 5.1 5300: the risult is the same)!!
this is the problem:
we don't succeed to reproduce correctly any ac3 stream muxxed with avi files:(
reproducing a dvd that's all right!
reproducing an ac3 file that's all right!
reproducing an avi\ac3 file that's all wrong :mad: !!!
we have used all ac3 filter version available with windvd platinum, bsplayer and powerdivx but...... :mad: nothing!
can you help us!?!?!?

PS: audigy 2 has a particularity:
its outputs are different of sb live! 5.1 or audigy 1 or any other soundcard:
in sequence an audigy card has: spdif, line-in, mic-in, rear out, front out.
audigy 2 has: spdif, line-in, mic-in, rear out, front out, center\sub out.
to center\sub output are connected the cable for sub woofer, front center and rear center!
