Here is the problem.

I had my card for over a year. In december of last year all of a sudden it died. The fan burned down and the system didn't even boot up. So I sent the card back to Visiontek and they send it back to me saying that there is nothing wrong with it. But I did notice that they replaced the fan. So I installed back the card and it worked fine for about 2 hours then the computer restarted. Half of the characters during POST appeared in the purple color instead of the usual white. Windows XP did not boot up and the computer froze during the loading of the OS. So I removed the card and put it another video card that I know is functioning. After restarting the computer it worked fine. During the first boot the windows gave me 3 error boxes:

http://www-users.itlabs.umn.edu/~rusi0006/error2.jpg

and here is the watchdog log file:

So I don't know what to do now. Any suggestions?

My brother's Visiontek Xtasy gf3 Ti200 fan also died last year. I replaced it with some Orb fan (I forgot the exact name). I found out the fan died because when he was playing 3d games he would see white spots. Ever since I replaced the fan, the video card has been working just fine. As far as getting an RMA from Visiontek just email them again and maybe even show them the pics you posted here. If I remember correctly, Visiontek has lifetime warranty? If you can't return it buy an orb fan and install it, it might do the trick. Also make sure your computer's cooling is adequate.
