Hey all,

I just had an interesting problem today that I've never had before, and I was wondering if someone might be able to explain to me what's going on.

I just have an mpeg (original source was vcd) that I wanted to encode to divx, and the mpeg loads up fine in wmplayer.

I use Nandub, used settings I've used many times before that has given me the encodes I want, and left it running...

But somehow, my final picture is upside down AND backwards!

But, when I load the avi in VDub/Nandub, it looks fine! (it's oriented the right direction and all).

Why is nandub showing it correctly and all my other players not?

And what's the fastest way to flip the image all around without loosing any quality and re-compressing it?

Hi-

Perhaps you screwed up on the resoluution (maybe only mod 2, when it should be mod 16).

To fix it, you can try ffdshow for decoding. In the misc. tab is an option to flip the video.

If you installed the Nimo codec pack ... and just did a full installation it will install a g400 filter (Can't remember the exact name) that, unless you have a g400 video card, will flip all your videos upside-down and on some hardware backwards too. Me thinks you might have done this, in which case, just unregister the filter with the "regsvr32 /u [filtername]". The filter should be in the folder where nimo was installed, but to find the exact file you can use graphedit and look at the filter properties. I also remember that there is another problomatic filter installed with nimo, but I can't remember what it is.

Hope this helps,
