Hi guys,
Having just got my AIW 9000 ripping perfectly, I came to rip one of my favourite tapes, only to find out it was Macrovision protected :(
Using both IUVCR and MMC, all that I got was a green screen or one frame looped while the audio plays on.
Having tried all the software on the Web, including on this site, and having no luck with any of it, I decided to buy a 'Video conditioner' from Maplin.co.uk.
Anyway, this appears to have only partly solved the problem. There is no green screen now, but whenever I record for longer than a couple of minutes, the clip gets about 30 seconds in and then loops. I'm guessing that the Macrovision detection is so sensitive that it still picks it up, even though I'm using a video conditioner.
Any suggestions? I'm practically about to sell my card, it's given me so much grief :(
Bob
