Hello,
I did a search on this and only found 1 other person with this problem, however he was using TMPG. Every so often during a few movies I have done, there is a beeping noise when the movie is played. I have backed up many movies before, and this hasn't happend very often. For audio setting, I use 224 Kbps and I do not downsample. Out put mode is stereo and Autodetect Azid gain is checked. To rip the DVD I use vStrip and I use the default Bitrate settings except I use 80 minute CD's for all of them. I use CCE 2.5 and set it for Multipass VBR(4 passes). If more information is needed, please let me know and I'll will post it quickly.
Thank you for any help that can be provided. :D

I have a similar problem but in my case it comes from the DVD player (Pioneer 535) itself. It only occurs with some CD media such as Imation but then it happens with every disc.

I don't know if mine come from the DVD player. I have a JVC XV-S502. It plays everything I throw at it flawlessly. I've always used TDK 80 minutes CD's, and this problem only occurs with a few of my movies.
Thanks for your input!

Does this happen when you play the images with PowerDVD?
Posting your logfile couldn't hurt either, maybe you missed something that we will notice.

I haven't tested the images in powerDVD, but I will do so in the very near future and post the results. Here is my log file:

In general you will always want to test your DVD's with PowerDVD or some other SVCD playing software such as WinDVD (don't play with WMP though).
Also I noticed you used Vstrip. You might want to try internal routines even though Vstrip is supported.
However, the first thing you should do is test with PowerDVD to see if the noise is on the image itself.

Even better if you happened to still have the BBmpeg_muxed.mpg files on the Hard Drive see if the problem is in them as well. Use PowerDVD or WinDVD on those as well.
If you don't still have these files, nevermind. :)
This will elminate the burn or media as a possible issue.

Hello,
Just getting back on my testing. I used PowerDVD to test the images and the sound is NOT present when they are played. I tried another movie, this time ripping with internal routines, and I'll let you know how that turns out.
Thanks for all your input thus far.:D

Hello,
I tested the movie I did with internal routines and it still had that noise at the beginning. It doesn't make this sound on any of the images files, only the first 5 - 10 seconds of each CD. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Cam
