Hi!

I have a very annoying problem. Iīm burning a SVCD i Nero and then when I try to play the movie on my standalone DVD player the picture is jumping. I have tried to use WinIso on the bin file but that didnīt help. I have also tried burning at 2x speed but didnīt help either. I have checked the cue files in wordpad and it looks good to me. I have tried using VCDeasy but i get the same problem. Iīve tried mounting the file in Daemon Tools but that didnīt help, it plays fine on my computer but the picture is still jumping on my DVD-player. Iīve tried burnig with both CloneCD and Nero that didenīt help. Iīve used VCDgear and made a DAT file but that didnīt help either. My DVD player is a Pioneer DV-350 if that makes any difference. This doesnīt happen to all SVCDīs but about half of them. Do you think it can have anything to do with if the file is made for PAL or NTSC? Iīve tried to switch the DVD player between PAL and NTSC mode but the only difference is that the movie plays in black and white.

Anyone got some good tips on how to fix this?

What do you mean "picture is jumping" ? Is the picture jumping only on motion scenes ? If it does, it might be an interlacing problem. Try either to deinterlace the movie or change the field order (check/uncheck the "Upper field first" box in CCE or the Field Box in TMPGEnc). For more info about interlacing check 100fps.com.

I see your pics, it must be a PAL/NTSC problem, but if you say it's not, then it might be a 3:2 pulldown problem or sth like that... I don't know much about it, since I only make PAL VCDs. Anyway, I'm quite sure this has to do with the framerate of your movie.
