Hi everybody, I've just bought a nice DVB card. Unfortunately it's anonimus, just "DVB tuner card". I bought also a CAM for SECA, to see payperview channels using this board.

I tried the included software and it worked well, i can watch tv or record and the CAM is working (because the programs says that there's a cam).

I inserted my Payperview SMART CARD and I tried to watch the channels I used to see (using my Standalone decoder) but here's the problem. Since last year, my provider changed from SECA to SECA2 encryption, so I'm afraid that my board isn't able to decode it (also with right CAM and right Smart Card). I live in ITALY.

Can anybody help me?

I tried also MultiDec but I can't use it ... I can't see any channel and signal stays to lowest level ...

thanx

EDIT:

New info. After hours, I could tell that the name is: Sat Card VP-DTV (Card VP-1020) and my CAM is Aston 1.05 for SECA.

I used: WinDTV and the software goes well with Free to Air channels, but doesn't accept my ORIGINAL Smart card (because they broadcast in SECA2 and I think that this software works in SECA1).
Then I tried Multidec ... Nothing at all
Then I tried EzDVBxl ... I can record Free To Air, but no chances with Encrypted ch.

Hi,

Many people have reported success with ProgDVB and Poor Man's CAM. This combination works perfectly for watching CSD (a Spanish provider which uses SECA 2).

ProgDVB (http://www.progdvb.com/)

PMCAM (http://joshyfun.webzdarma.cz/)

Cheers.

Ok, I got some news. I understood that my board works correctly.

I asked to technical support and they sayd that using an Aston 1.05 CAM, I have to set in the Common Interface menu, Parameters, digit the PIN (by default it should be 0000)and turn ON the PPVP and PPVT settings.

Now it WORKS FINE!! :)

... works fine just for watching ... not for RECORDING

I don't know what to do.
I have an original smart card for my provider (SECA 2), that works fine on my Vision Plus 1030 and also on my standalone Gold Box.

Every time I try to record from an encrypted channel, the recording stars ... wait until the provider changes the encryption code and then ... error message and obiously capture stop (after 5-10 minutes).

I used WinDVB updated to 1.5 and then I tried WinDTV 2.2 beta. Both works fine just for watching TV and recording from Free To Air channels.

I also tried ProgDVB that works fine but doesn't find my Aston CAM 1.05 so I can't watch scrambled channels.
