Hi all,
Where I work, they gave me to use a Compaq-HP Evo d510.
It's a legacy free pc where there are no ports except for 6 usb and a classic monitor port.
Is there anything that permits me to view divx on a Tv screen?
Shoul I surrender? Hope not.

thank you

hm... not easy.

Principally, the standard VGA output carries the video signal, that can be converted to the TV input. However, there are some shortfalls - for more technical background visit notes on video conversion (http://www.repairfaq.org/REPAIR/F_vidconv.html)

It is better using the USB ports, if you are ready to buy some extra piece of equipment - this one below also might be useful for other vide conversion tasks: USB to Video (http://www.adstech.com/products/USB_Instant_DVD/specifications/usb700specs.asp?pid=USBAV-700)

Just my "two cents" :)

I did not understand if the USB to Video machine has USB as input or as power supply, anyway it costs a little bit.
Searching on the web i found out that the best cheaper solution is a VGA to PAL converter (I'm in Italy).
I am looking for a clear and securely working printed circuit board with explanations and list of components, to make one by myself.

Thank you
