Okay, here's the situation: I'm going to be capturing from a laserdisc source. The film is a 2.35:1 aspect ratio. The capture hardware will capture at 720x480. That means the actual source of the picture will have a size of 720x272, plus the black bars on the top and bottom. Now, after IVTC, I want to resize it so it's 16:9 anamorphic. If I'm correct, that means I'll need to resize it to 720x640, then crop off 80 pixels from the top and bottom to make it 720x480 again. Does this seem correct to everyone?
