How well does IC work with copying CD's?

I'm doing my projects the CCE way so i'm probably not going to buy this program right now.But after seeing all the hoopla i went to Pinnacle to see the specs and it says that it will do a "bit-perfect" copy of a cd(audio,rom etc).Is this true,has anyone tested with games or cd-roms?I'm asking because my boss is not very computer savy and he has a handicapped child that has broken several cd-roms(kiddie stuff)and would like a simple program to back those up.If it works this seems to be a perfect program for him.

cd-clone is a useful tool for backing up cd-roms

as some cd-roms have protection on them (safedisk is one I think), so I don't think IC will create backups of these

Just about every burner I've ever seen comes with a CD duplication program.
