I don't know how long this will be available. It might be a short-term promo tied to CeBit. There's a very short survey then they'll email the installation key to you.

Good tip Fred, thanks for posting it!

See if this one will work for PowerProducer (I would not waste my time on this 18 meg download as it only does vcd. The other one is worth the time to some I would think:

The PowerDirector is the old ver 1.1; the current version is 2.5 Pro.

But hey... For people out there just getting started this would be a great way to do so.

Not saying that I'm just getting started... I'm way past just "getting started". :)

But sometimes the latest version isn't always the greatest.
just my 2 cents.

The free PowerProducer version mentioned above allows for creating VCDs only. Not worth the download in my opinion.

Regarding PowerDirector I can tell that I have a 2.55 OEM version, which can create VCDs, SVCDs, and miniDVDs, but not DVDs... (I tested it, but I won't use it.)

Curiously, the lastest version of PowerDirector, in the demo version at least, has no undo function at all, which makes an otherwise interesting package pretty much unusable, for me, at any rate.
