I've updatet my IC7 with the latest upgrade. Used the Reg Hack for deselecting Extras.

I tryed 2 Movies (Jin-Roh and "Der kleine Eisbär").
I've selected only the Menu and the Movie, the program makes the PDI files without a problem.
So i extractet the files with the PDITOOL and burned it with Nero 5.5.10.15 without a problem.
After that i inserted the DVD-R in my SA player (Philips) but he didn't start to play the dvd. When the DVD is inserted in my PC i can play it without a problem in PowerDVD.

Can somebody help me?

Nero is known to have some incompatibilities with standalone units. The problem lies in Nero, not IC. Others here can suggest particular settings for Nero, if you wish to continue to use it to burn your DVD backups.

I have allowed IC to burn mine directly. No problems playing them on my standalone (Pana cp72s). Some DVD players are just more picky about playing burned DVD's.

thats your problem!

your PC is not as fussy when it comes to a file that is missing, but some standalones are and they won't play

PowerDVD plays most DVD's regardless of stuff missing, but as soon as you burn and stick it into a SA, it won't neccessarily play as it's probably looking for the warning or logo files you have deleted so it's just freezes or stops

again, I recommend you use Ifoedit to remove Titles you don't want or use the delete playback button after using IC

There are several great points here:

First and foremost, though: Have you ever played a DVD-R successfully on your standalone? If you have, then we press forward. If not, there's a chance your particular model will not play a DVD-R. Quite a few models don't, especially earlier ones.

MisterX hits it on the head, too. You can tinker with a DVD and have it play on your PC, but there's a real chance your standalone will have problems with playback. Be careful what you feed the 1:1 programs (i.e., DVD95Copy and IC). They'll produce output but it may not be playable on a standalone. Currently, these programs are configured to do just what they say: produce a 1:1 copy, not a stripped down DVD. I suspect they'll evolve to allow this kind of tinkering in the future but they're not there yet.
