View Full Version : Real and quicktime support in players?

i am just interested... cause i saw that mplayer for linux can play both using the developers files from real9 and quicktime6

the same should be possible for windows? just wondering noone implents such a feature....

See media player classic plays all directshow content, real, quicktime and even flash.

hmm... the reason why i posted this was cause i just read a post that MPC needs an installed realone player to playback rm files... but i will try...

What is the problem..... i have no problem with playing EM with MPC

You, of course, need the Real Player codecs installed first before MPC can play the files.

exactly..... but therefore i have to install this shitty player :/

there is a Real 9 Codec Only floating around ... i just installed it yesterday and playback was fine in mpc ...

RM in MPC is fine, but quicktime leaves much to be desired if you could resize it would be fine. Real Media player can handle it so should MPC.

quicktime support in MPC is very new and will be improved.. it uses your browsers quicktime activx plugin, so it probably needs more messing with..
