i'm currently looking for an apporpriate OCR program to scan a few dokuments into word (preferrably) but also notepad if word is not possible.
oh and i'd rather prefer freeware although a 30 day full working trial version would be ok to start too...

thanks
steVe

PS: sorry for this completely off topic question but i didn't know where else to ask (:

Which version or Word do you have?

if it's OfficeXP, it has built in OCR which works extremely well. If not then your scanner should have come with OCR software which should do a basic job.

ok i've finally gotten around to try OCR in word... but unfortunately i do not even find a OCR import function or similar in word... the help topics do not contain information about it either!
