I recently encoded a dvd with XviD and OGG Vorbis with 2 streams, English and Japanese (it's an anime). For the longest time i've been trying to get the subtitles to work with directshow to no avail. I have the OGG DS filters installed (SubTitDS1400) and I've ripped the subtitles with all the programs I could find. Maybe there's something else i'm missing?

Have you tried the new Core media player? It has some kickass features for .ogm files.
HAve you muxed the subtitles with oggmux? I usually mux .srt files with the .ogm file. Be sure the newest vobsub is installed also. Sometimes vobsub doesn't work with me, so a new install helps most of the time. It should work now.
Get it here (http://www.corecoded.com/)

Well the Core Media Player looks cool, I'll get it, but I still want the subtitles to work in Windows media player also in case i have to view them on someone else's computer where they only have WMP.
To the oggmux question, no I haven't muxed the subs (i did mux the ogg files with the avi of course- using oggmux) because I don't like the srt format, I would like to have the sub, idx, and ifo files there so that the subs look nice - not just ugly looking text overlaying the picture. If there's a problem with that let me know cause I am new to ripping - I did post this on the newbies board a long time ago but I didn't get any help there.
I'll try the vobsub thing, but I have my doubts about that fix.
