hi. i just bought a new pc and am trying to set it up. specs:
elitegorup k7s5a with BIOS i jsut installed so it would supprt the athlon xp 2000+ CPU. the power supply is 300W, and all i have conected is a cdrom, floppy, harddrive, and a graphics card.

seems if i leave the pc on for more than two minutes it causes a power cut in teh whole house (ie lights as well, not just plugs), for a second, and then the lights come back on again.

at first i thought it wasn't me but then i tried 3 times, same thing happenned. lucky it didn't happen when i was doing the BIOS update.

there's no fuse gone or anything dropped in the "electric box" downstairs, and the pc works if i turn it on now, i just don't know why it causes the power cuts.

i was going to try and change the power suply but i don't have one here. is this most likely to be the problem?
