Hello, I was wondering if someone can help me with this question. I recently made copies of my laserdiscs onto my Philips DVDR-985 with DVD+RW discs. After I finished, I copied the edited disc onto my Pioneer DVR-A04, and made successful copies. However, today when I tried taking those same DVD-R discs, and making another copy with Nero, using the copy disc option, I get a message that says my recordable media isn't big enough to record the info? How can this be? Doesn't Nero make an exact duplicate of the original DVD? How can the info on the disc suddenly be larger than the original copy? I'm confused! It's as if copying a DVD+RW to DVD-R will add info but will allow the DVD-R to copy it, however, any future copies of the DVD-R won't be allowed to be copied because the info is somehow read as over the 4.37 gig limit! Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

No info is to be added betweeen dvd-R and DVD-RW.
But perhaps there are some trick in nero DVD burning.
I remember the old problem with audio CD when nero added 2 sec between tracks, without any notification on that.
So the copy of the copy was with 4 sec between tracks, and was sometimes too big for a CDR with the extra 20-30 sec that adds.

I am not sure how this can be on a DVD video, but what is sure is that you should try with another tool. Personnaly I do on the fly DVD copy with Imgtool from dvdrom to DVDR.
it's safer to do it with an intermediate HD step (rip with dvddecrypter, then burn with imgtool)

Give a try and tell us..
