for a dvd project i would like to work with loops. each time a track is looping there is a short break (about half a second) where the image and sound stops. is it possible to program a dvd where a track can be seamlessly looped? or does the hardware (laser) need some time to readjust for finding the beginning of a track again?
thanks in advance
georg

when the buffer runs empty while the laser searches the beginning of your clip, sound and audio stops. It also depends on reading speed of your player. AFAIK there is no reliable way to create seamless loop, except you waste space and loop your clip before encoding...

You'll notice the same anomaly on retail discs. Some are hidden better than others but ALL have this problem. It's just a limitation of the spec is it is now. It's nothing you're doing wrong though.

A lot of the apparant "seamless" looping you see in menus etc is fake also.... helps inflate the overall title size quite nicely...
