I was working with DoCCE4U this morning trying to do a manual filesize calculation and I noticed something. I have several templates saved back before there was a DoCCE4U to help encode. I created an AVS file using mpeg2dec.dll and selectrangeevery(12,1200) trying to find out what 1% of my file would be. I would create a new job, adjust the Q and no matter how many times I did it, no matter how many times I adjust Q on 1-pass VBR the filesize always came out the same.

I noticed every time the encoder came up it was defaulting to a template that was Q60-1 pass vbr, the first template in my list of templates in CCE.

My question is this, should I delete all my old templates from CCE? I just thought it was a little strange.

TIA.

No, DoCCE4U uses internal templates completely separate from the ones you have in CCE.

In a future release, next or maybe the one after that, there will be the ability to modify and add templates to those in DoCCE4U. And the limit on the number of templates should be around 40.
