Well, I got another problem.
I use the BTWINCAP drivers to capture movies on my Hauppage Wintv card. My problem is that I get dropped frames depending on which resolution I capture in an the resolution of the desktop. I can capture in 720*576 with any resolution on the desktop without any dropped frames, but if I try 320*240 or 352*576 I get a lot of dropped frames. I can see that I get dropped frames in the preview window, even when I am not capturing. If I change the resolution on the desktop I can sometimes make it go away more or less.
I have heard that VIA users have had problems but I have an Intel chipset. Anyone know what might cause this?
