I am using Virtual VCR to capture with Huffyuv 352*576, 25 fps. I can open it in Virtual Dub and Encode it to divx without a problem. I can also open it in Tmpg and encode it but at the end of the file it stops for a few seconds at 99 % and then continues. I tried to open it in CCE and it complains at the end of the file and stops encoding. If I open the avi and run it through virtual dub with direct stream and save it to another avi file without reencoding, cce doesn't complain and tmpg doesn't stop for a while at 99 %. What can be the cause of this?

The reason I ask is that I get sync errors when I encode the avi using either cce or tmpg. Encoding it to divx in virtual dub works fine though.

I tried to make a new capture and this time I got a lot of dropped frames. Yesterday it worked just fine. After a lot of testing I found out what the problem was. For some reason the capture driver didn't like that I have a desktop resolution of 1024*768. 1152*864 works fine.

Anyway. I didn't get the same error this time I captured. I don't know what went wrong the other time. I just hope I don't get this error after capturing two hours of video.
