I just wanted to know what is the best media to buy for dvd player which will be easy for them to read??? - or +? also where can i get good prices for blank dvd media?

It depends on your player.
Go to http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php and see which format it can play. If it can play both, no matter which one you burn (+ or -), but -R are generally cheaper.

Avoid Princo blank DVD, they're cheap, but inconsistent (burned ~ 30, all are readable, but 1/3 present squares blocks, and are sometimes difficult to play).

Crap discs, such as Vivastar, will play on less than half of all players, while better discs, such as Ritek G03, or (even better) Taiyo Yuden will work on almost all players.

The quality of the discs is even more important than + or -
