VCD/MPEG1 on DVD

ok, i know its possible ive done it before with a 29fps VCD, but this VCD has a framerate of 23fps, which DVDMaestro doesnt accept, now when i run pulldown on it and assemble it and compile it, the audio is way out of sync with the video,

my question, is how i can get the audio in sync with the video, since pulldown changes framerate to 29fps the audio is still runnin at 23fps

ok i used besweet to convert framerate, now its in sync..........but they sound like chipmunks, the sounds all sped up, how the hell do i get it compliant with Maestro and in a format thats not bloody running too fast :/
