looking for cheap 2x media for my pioneer a04 recorder with good compatibility, definitely has to work with ps2. i really can't afford more than $2 per disc, less would be better. recommendations?

If you hunt around you can get taiyo yuden discs for $2.00 each. You won't get better quality than that no matter what the price.

I bought my last batch of 2X DVD-Rs from www.pcclub.com They are running a special on 50 dvds for $49. (I bought mine last week for $39. Looks like the price went up). I have burned about 10 DVDs with this media and they play perfectly on my older Sony DVP-S530D and newer Apex AD-1201. They have reviews from people who have bought the media if you are interested.

taiyo yudens are 2.10/each in a 90 pack at rima. these burned well in my dru-500 and read back as good as apple discs for like $1.00 less/disc.

I bought some of the Ritek 4x and so far they've worked great. I picked mine up at Rima.com $181 for 100 with 3 day select UPS shipping.
