Have the same problem on The Sweetest Thing.

Not doing any resizing of the main movie, selecting English / Danish as subtitles, only the English shows up, the Danish is selectable but not show.

Using .91 version

Same problem. Cinema Paradiso. Cannot get any subs to work. Checked rip they are there, tried checking and unchecking subs, every way possible, they just get lost. I have reencoded movie 5 times, nothing works.

Had the same problem with swordfish R2 pal but i got it working.
I left all subtitles in the movie and then my dutch sub showed up.
First few tries i ripped only Eng and Nl subs and only english showed up.
After i ripped it with all subs in the movie NL was there also.
Maybe this helps.

So this must be some bug in program.
I will try SteveV method.
Leave all subtitle, enlarged DVD for size of subtitles what we well remove, after that remove unwanted subtitle in IfoEdit.
I think this must working.
Just do it. ( This is not nike commercial )

:p
It works but you must first remove unwanted stuff in ifoEdit then go to IC.

When you strip a sub stream in instantcopy, the remaining streams may end up on different stream numbers. This is the same as what happens when you strip audio streams, and so the subtitle menu options may no longer work correctly.

The best thing to do with subs is to keep them all. They use so little space it's not worth the hassle to go into the ifos and remap them. Just keep them all.

If you keep them all and they still don't work, run IFOEdit's VOB Extras on the movie vts with these options checked:
-Correct VOB-Unit (Navigation Pack Pointers) in VOB-files
-Adjust VOB-Unit Pointers
-Adjust Audio/Subp point
