well here is what i would like 2 do and i thought it would be best 2 ask the ppl who no what they are doing

i would like to put all episodes of band of brothers on 1 dvdr i no that the quality wont b 2 good but still id like 2 do it just so i can say i did it

the problem is .. that i want 2 keep the ac3 and i want 2 get rid of the credits after each episode so all episodes merge into each other

then the plan as i see it is to import the video and ac3 into spruce or maestro and just make a first play dvd with a few chapter points
i can do the import bit im just alot lost on the merging the video and ac3 and cutting the credits out

so if anyone has done this or could shed a little light please do...
thanks...

ps.. i can do the cce thingy aswell as i have done many dvd9-dvd5

Lots of luck -- that's a tough squeeze.

Resize to Half-D1 (352x480) and you may have better overall results. Also choose the 2-Channel AC3 (surround sound). You may even want to try reencoding the AC3 to a lower bitrate.

Use AVISYNTH and create a clip with the start and end frame numbers. You can get those by first running the AVISYNTH file through VirtualDub and finding the frames...

I would probably do it with a big hammer approach

rip all the m2v and ac3 from the episodes

load each episode into maestro one at once make a movie for each episode then put a chapter point where you want to cut out the credits

author the movies then fire up smart ripper and rip the ac3 and m2v by chapter and leave out the credits

this way you now have the episode without the credits on the ac3 and the m2v

dvd2avi all the stripped down episodes

make a avisynth script that loads all the episodes and squeeze them to fit, convoludion3d will help if you can wait

as getting one ac3 file use a dos command
copy part1.ac3 /b +part2.ac3 /b +part3.ac3 /b +part4.ac3 /b ..... output.ac3 /b

run the resulting file through ac3 fix in case there are any broken frames

then its just the authoring to do
