Hi there!

I've filmed a 5 minute footage, edited with Adobe Premiere and encoded with TMPGEnc (SVCD PAL). I didn't use any deinterlacing in Premiere/TMPGEnc. Since I watch my films on TV (Nokia 28") I should have done some deinterlacing because some of the footage are flickering and so on. Ok, here comes the problem: having only interlaced source file (MPEG/SVCD) I wanna encode it into DVD PAL using TMPGEnc and it's deinterlace option. It's just that I don't know which selection to use... (Odd field, Even field, Double, Even-Odd field)

Here are listed some main effects I've added in my movie:
- Slow motion (50%, 75%)
- Transitions
- Still images
- Rolling text

I hope there's enough information to help me with my problem.

No need to reply any more. I just discovered that deinterlaced movie with fast moves works like crap on TV...

Yes, but slow-motion in interlaced movies are even glier on a TV screen.

Since you changed the motion speed of your movie, you can't use "sophisticated" deinterlace methods (like Smooth Deinterlace or TomsMoComp). Maybe Decomb would do the trick ?
