Well, there's a new kid on the block from Germany. DigiMagic Tech has a DVD9 to DVD5 copying program that really compresses the menus and such that we don't give that much worry about anyway and save the main part of the DVD for the Movie that we DO care about.

Their linkDVD95COPY link (http://www.dvd95copy.com) should shed a little more light on their program for all interested.

I clicked on their "purchase" link, and it seemed to have a bit of difficulty.. (wonder why?? LOL), but I paid at paypal with no problem as they are an international registered company there. their e-mail for purchase at PayPal is.. purchase@dvd95copy.com And it went smooth.

Still would foster any ideas on how to get Pearl Harbor more balanced when I do a rip/burn.. ie. move some of the *.vob files from the disc1 rip to the disc2 rip so that the first disc is not so compressed and becomes pixilated..

later...
Cheers!

is that that the same program here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47316)? :D

regarding Pearl Harbour it depends on what software you have

short version: I would join the two vobs using a vob editing tool cutting and joining where need be, save both original celltimes(chapters) for both

then open the 1st set of cell times, and add the 2nd sets, by adding the total time of the 1st movie(minus any chops) to all the times in the 2nd one

then use a dvd authoring program, and import everything and make one huge DVD, then use a DVD9 to 2 DVD splitting tool

there will be a lot more included but this is just a suggestion for you to build on

I have the 4 disc version of PH here, but I decided on keeping the split the same when I made my backup last week

hope it helps

cheers

Thanks MisterX, that does help. I will have to do some more playing with this movie, but it does give me some new directions to try.

As far as DVD95copy, yes that is the same one you referred to in your link above. I left a post at that link about how well it handled a dual mode movie (wide screen/ full screen) contained on 1 disc. I also left the same thread (well edited a bit) over on your thread you started on the quality of DVD2ONE with the comparisons of the Star Wars movie. I know that you sould not post the same info twice, but I left the one on your starting thread for you to read and this similar thread on the link above as it really does belong there as they are asking for feedback on how well the full version of this software works. Unfortunately, I did not see this thread until I had already posted at your Star Wars thread.. sorry..

Welcome to come by anytime and have a tast of our wines.. and yes you may swallow..:D website where I work..Fenn Valley Vineyards (http://www.fennvalley.com) stop in sometime.

and thanks again for the ideas on Pearl Harbor. It's more a challenge than necessary as we don't regularily watch this movie. *S*
