Hi there

This is not strictly related to vid capture, but i am building a (cheap) 2 cam surveilence system for my crime ridden friend. Basically i have the idea of running 2 webcams with image detecting software, and just want to know if anyone has managed to use 2 tv cards at once

sorry for this being a little off topic but someone may have done this for 2 channel capping

cheers

I've captured using two capture cards at once, ATI Aiw 128 Pro and a WinTV-Go. The only problem I had was the audio. One sound card, one input.

Crime, in the UK?! The worst I ever had was my bike tyres slashed a few years ago by some old school friends:)

It should be ok, you dont need sound, though differemt cam's/software would be a good idea. Having 2 webcams with the same name under WDM/Video 4 Windows would suck. I dunno how cams work so the may not have VFW/WDM access at all.
