Vobsub can't rip the sub out even if I open up smartripper to unlock the DVD first. However, I can use the same method to rip Vol 1 without any problem.

If you are using nt please try http://vobsub.edensrising.com/vsfilter.rar . The vobdec method may not be able to decrypt in every case, but now vsrip can use another method under nt.

yes, I'm using WinXP.
How to use that dll?
I've placed it in vobsub's directory but it seems to be not the right place...

vsfilter.dll is an AviSynth 2.5 plug-in; you put it in AviSynth's plug-in directory. I don't think it has the interface for you to rip subs, you'll still have to use the regular Vobsub. Vobsub sometimes have trouble ripping subs if you enable stream processing, so try ripping the subs from the VOBs on the DVD directly.

LOL, I'm sorry, I gave you the wrong link. It is http://vobsub.edensrising.com/vsrip.rar of course.

still can't rip it right...

1. Unlock DVD with Smartripper, read ifo from DVD

Opening ifo OK
Parsing ifo OK
Searching vobs...
Found Y:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_0.vob (skipping, probably a menu vob)
Found Y:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.vob
Found Y:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_2.vob
Found Y:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_3.vob
Found Y:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_4.vob
ERROR: Cannot open vob sequence

2. VOB ripped onto HDD (without stream processing) (vts_01_0.ifo, vts_01_1.vob)

Opening ifo OK
Parsing ifo OK
Searching vobs...
ERROR: Length of F:\BIBLE_BLACK_2\vts_01_0.vob is not n*2048!
ERROR: Nothing found! (F:\BIBLE_BLACK_2\vts_01_*.vob)

ERROR: Nothing found! (F:\BIBLE_BLACK_2\vts_01_*.vob) Are you sure the vobs are exact copies? Does the file size match for all of them? This error message should have come up at the first try too if vts_01_0.vob wasn't multiple of 2048 on the dvd.

1.
It still don't work with Bible Black Vol2 (no problem with Night shift nurse vol1 )

2.
The problem is it try to find vts_01_0.vob which doesn't exists.
even if I rename the vob to vts_01_0.vob, it'll just say it's an opening and skips it.

putting a small vob as vts_01_0.vob, it finally get the program to start to try ripping. But it seems stopped after the progress bar reaches 5 blocks...

Indexing...
Counting timestamps from 1301ms (v01c02)
Scanning v01 c02 lba00008756, total=1301ms, offset=0ms, discontinuity:0
Encrypted sector found, searching key...
ERROR: Key not found, can't decrypt!

ERROR: Key not found, can't decrypt! This can only mean that the "encrypted flag" is still set on that sector... Don't you have any problem viewing/transcoding the content of this ripped vob? You said vsrip had no problem with this dvd indexing it directly, so doesn't it also stop at this point?

Night shift nurse vol.1
Vobsub OK
vsrip OK

I can open and watch the ripped vob directly with dvd2avi or m2v plugin.
(I've encoded it in avi+mp3, now I just need the sub ;)
