I know this has been asked a million times before. I have read quite a few posts on forced subtitles but can't quite seem to get it to work properly.
I am backing up Star Wars AOTC. Just like everyone, they want to see the subtitles to the alien language automatically. Now I have reauthored using both subtitle streams. I used the forced subtitle as the first one and the normal subs as the second. It comes through on my set top player fine, but I have to remember to turn on the subtitles before the movie gets going too much. I don't really want that because in my old age, I'm forgetting things.
What I did was when I was authoring in Maestro, I clicked on every subtitle, and put a checkmark in the force subtitle box. I thought this would have done it, but no. I then changed the script file to say forced instead of unforced. I used Subrip for the subs.
I was just wondering if I have missed a little step here. I would appreciate the help. Thanks.
