Faster pulldown

I thought I remember seeing a thread somewhere about a faster pulldown. Now I can't find it. The pulldown I use, pulldown.exe from the download page makes a separate copy of the file, and takes 10mins or longer on my PC. Is there a version that modifies the original file and operates more quickly?

Not that I know of. Anyway, why would you risk damaging 8+ hours of work by trying to modify it? Anyway, it wouldn't really speed up things that much (the file still needs to be parsed, modified, then re-written to the disk). Since this would all be on the same disk, your speed would be "slow".

You can speed up pulldown by writing the target on a different physical drive from the source. Of course, this means that you will have two hard drives on your system.
