I asked myself..."wtf, is NLE" and using the search function didn't help :D - oh, maybe it would help but I simply didn't tried it out...

but back to business - maybe you asked yourself the same question and couldn't figure it out... but hey, I did a little googleism for you and you may find it usefull.

- WHAT'S NON-LINEAR EDITING? (http://www.filmmaker.com/editing/nlexplan.html)
- Non-Linear Editing - TV's Future! (http://www.creighton.edu/BMC/nonlinear.html)
- NLE - How do I build it? (http://www.if.com.au/features/how-to-build-it.html)

and so on... as always Google is your friend ;)

but before starting I think you'll need a very expensive equipment :( maybe something like this...

cheers Sill

perhaps we should all think of few
questions and every question should deserve a forum on it's
own?

If my understanding is correct, just about any video editing software is called non-linear editing (NLE) (e.g. Premiere, Ulead VS 7.0 or even Windows Movie Maker 2.0). I don't know why but the word NLE scares me off from visiting this forum. Why not just call it: editing, cutting or joining (like vcdhelp does)?

I thought NLE was part of the DV forum (kind of)? Now if there's a forum for NLE, there's not much left to talk about in the DV section (except cameras and tapes...)
