Cannot make a svcd out of my captured video

Dear Forum: I have a ATI aiw video card 32MBDDR and I am able to capture in 640 x 480 or 720 x 480 using Huffyuv v2.1.1 codec. I can load it just fine into dvd2svcd (avi2svcd) but when it gets to cce 2.50 it will go so far... usually finishes the video info. file; but then gets buggy and freezes/crashes. I have loaded tmpgenc and it does not work at all. I have tried using YUY2 video format and it will record just fine but the same problem occurs when it gets to cce. I have tried using pic video mjpeg, but unfortunately MMC 7.7 crashes using pic video, I believe because the video tapes I am trying to archive has some glitches in them when the tape has been started and stopped and pic video can't handle this. Would using a newer version of cce help? If anyone has any ideas on the forum please let me know.

The problem you are having sounds like to me to be a problem with cce itself. I would verify this by trying short captures from various sources. If you still have problems, check out the cce forum. If you search there for "crash", "freeze", "lockup", etc you will find tons of posts. You will want to start with verifying that your system itself is stable (memory checks, hard drive, etc) then work from there.
