faster? tmpg standalone or plugin

since i could never figure out how to get dvd2svcd to work right, i can't really tell which is faster, so can someone tell me which is faster; tmpg as a standalone or as a plugin for dvd2svcd?

Um... Hmmm... Probably over all, TMPGEnc stand alone would be quicker, since it merges and encodes the audio at the same time. Where as, DVD2SVCD, extracts the audio, converts it, then converts the video, and multiplexes. But I'd still prefer it, since it uses the best tools out there and you get the best results.
