Please provide a bit more info - XCOPY Version.
Sounds like your Gear Drivers are not installed or incorrectly installed OR Veritas DLA or some other DLA is installed.
If it's the latter, uninstall the DLA and XCOPY, reinstall only XCOPY.
Good Luck.

Veritas DLA is backup software that probably came bundled with your software. It locks your drive for exclusive use - and XCOPY doesn't like it.
So, if you installed any bundled software, that's probably the problem.
The XCOPY 1.41 version does automatically install the Gear drivers, but only if you installed the version correctly, i.e. unistalling all old versions first, rebooting then installing 1.41 fresh.

yes i know that my computer does not have a dvd burner, this is why i have nero alcohol 120% installed. The problem is that none of this software appear in the target drive of dvdxcopy. the target drive is blank and i don't know why. i will seize this opportunity to thank you for your help. Thanks.
