having a similar problem =/ I try merging 2 mpeg2 files but in the finished file, lets say I merged 2 files, 1.mpg and 2.mpg, well the part of the video that's from 1.mpg, the audio is fine, but the part of the video that came from 2.mpg is desynced.

i think i know why this happens, let's do a little math:

(this is how tmpgenc sees it)
video #1 20:21:300 + video #2 30:40:500 = 51:01:800
audio #1 20:21:200 + audio #2 30:40:600 = 51:01:800

your probably wondering wtf does this have to do with anything, since video/audio #1 isn't the same length, 100ms must be carry over from audo #2, causing the second part & every other parts your merge with tmpgenc to be out of synch, but that's just my theory.

how can i fix this?, your wondering, hell if i know, that's why i prefer to do my audio manually.

It also happens when i add the audio manually, so that is no solution.

it seems you & unimatrixzer0 had different questions, oops!marcelkerstin's about cutting and unimatrixzer0's about merging, what i was talking about might only help unimatrixzer0, as for marcelkerstin, try Myflix or IfilmEdit, both are very good cutting programs, but both are also demos.
