I've been attemting all day to make a DVD of lord of the rings. I have been following one of the guides at Doom9 that describes how to convert AVI to DVD using CCE. I dont understand how to insert the .avs script file that i prepared in notepad. I would appreciate some help or please refer me to another guide that details that part with a few more steps. Here is the URL of part of the guide that was confusing me: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/top.html

Thanks in advance,

CCE does not automatically look for the avs script. you have to make CCE look for ALL FILES (Files of Type: *.*) when you right-click to add a file to the project.

As long as you saved you avs script as *.avs and not *.avs.txt everything should work fine, no problems.

hope it helped

videocheez,
if your *.avs file is correect then you will be able to select the file and right click and open with mediaplayer and it should play the clip(as long as you have the right drivers installed). If it can't play it will give an error message stating which line is causing the problem.

You can also drag and drop the .avs or .avi to the main window area of CCE. I have heard people say that CCE sometimes complains about this, but I have never had a problem.
