Second problem is how to join the 2 files too 1 with the subs on it and with audio ??

what you want isn't that simple but i can give you a few tips..

first of all demux the audio and convert it from 44 to 48 using besweet. you can demux in nandub (audio-->full processing,file-->save as wav)
then try to join the avi files in vdub (file-->append avi?)
then make use one of vdubs filters to add the subtitles(after you joined/syncd them),and resize to dvd specs,to preserve aspect you will need to add borders to your avi, unless it's dvd resolution (not likely).
frameserve this to tmpeg or cce (for cce don't frameserve with vdub..use avisynth)to make a dvd compliant mpeg2 video stream.
now author your dvd.

if you have no clue what i'm talking about, 'take the time to study the excellent guides on dooms site.

* i haven't tried this actually, because i don't think that after resizing and re-encoding your movie will have much quality left..
