Yes,I know,this needs to be elsewhere,but...

Heres my problem.

I have done a very low bitrate, very good looking clip that is long.

2 hours and 37 mins long.

I used B frames(2,i think).

The audio synchs up fine in Vdub all the way through, but when I code a mp3(80k-24hz) for it,it synchs fine for first half of clip and get about 60 ms out rest of the way?!

Im using razorlame to encode(all filtering off and CBR).

Ive tried Nandub,VdubMOD crashes encoding the wav.

I dont want to re-encode again(laptop).

The reason Im posting at all is this(and why I posted it here).

If B frames in my build causes problems(jan 26 build),then I will HAVE to re-encode.
If 24k sample rates in audio mp3 causes problems,I wont have to.

I cant figure out though, how two files the same length dont synch unless its B frame problem.

Cheers!!!

Plz move this thread if I am in the wrong place

Encode the audio again (from the original), patch it to WAV using WaveMP3 and then mux AVI and WAV using VD. See if that helps

Will do,I went and checked and there's alot of newer tools Ive never tried and one I needed to update.Theres like 6 ways to do the same thing now:devil:

I did try VBR instead of CBR and the file played sped up.

Cheers!!!

Still out.

I guess I will have to re-encode it.Its the Video(why I posted it here) I guess because I used a standard 128k mp3 and it did the same thing....about half way through it starts creeping out of synch.

Cheers!!!!

You don't need to reencode I guess.
Just cut your file in too.
For the second part, adjust the delay properly.
Then join both parts again.

I thought about that, but it goes further out twards the end....

I rencoded the same script w/o b frames and got no problems, but the quality is shoddy.

I guess your gambling with B-frames if the movie is quite long.
The thing that gets me is this.B frames help low bit rates, but Im only using low bit rates for long clips?!?

Its a nice "Catch-22";)

Cheers!!!!
