Hi-

You can demux the audio in DVD2AVI or in DVDDecrypter. I much prefer to Enable Streams Processing in DVDDecrypter and get the audio there, as you can easily see which audio streams you have.

If you use DVD2AVI to do it, you can get the audio stream list from the AV Delay Information.txt file that DVDDecrypter creates. Just remember, though, that 0x80 is really Track Number 1 in DVD2AVI.

Thanks, one more dumb qestion, does Gknot accept dts audio?

& in DVD2AVI should I use PC scale or TV? (I'm using ITU-R BT.601 if it helps) this is not clear in the doom9 guide ethier.

Hi-

I don't know how dumb those questions are. Maybe we're both dummies, as I'm not positive of the answer to either. :)

1. Not sure, but I don't believe that GKnot's BeSweet can handle DTS.

2. I have it set to PC Scale. This is from the DVD2AVI.txt included with GKnot:
Generally speaking, the color scale of TV and PC monitor is differnet.
The RGB value of pure black on PC is (0, 0, 0) On the other hand, it's (16, 16, 16) on TV.
If you want to watch the video on PC, it's better to choose [PC Scale] for full-scale colors.

It's hard to decide which option is correct when you watch on TV.
Video editors, encoders, and codecs all affect the color scale of the final result.
Try both scale and compare them on TV to see which one is smiliar to original source.
Sounds like he's not too sure either.

Thanks for your help. After some searching it seems that there is no program for DTS decoding/transcoding(as far as I understood) which is a shame because DTS uses a higher bitrate than ac3. I'll use PC scale too.
