dvd-r movie backups playable on ps2?

That is my question. I would love to play my backup MOVIES (not talking about games) on a ps2. That is my only dvd player. I play backup games on a regular basis, but curious about playing backup dvd-r movies on the system. I've messed around with ps2 reality player, but it dosent really work. Any help?

Try running a search in this and other of the Doom9 forums on "ps2". You'll find something to help you out, as the search function works well here. If you have access to them, some of the less expensive models of DVD players that also recognize S/VCD are only around $60 U.S. The DVD format is here to stay for a long time. Good luck.

All of my backups work fine in my PS2, even ones that I made on cheapo media that won't play in my more finicky set top players. I do nothing special...
