Everytime I have tried this to convert this with IC it just stops at about 3% and has a fatal error then crashes. I have to restart IC. I have used it for 3 other movies with no real problems. Tried DVDdecr to rip to hard drive and smartripper. It doesn't seem to make a difference. Does anyone have any ideals to why this would happen. Or has anyone successfully backed this DVD up?
Thanks

yes m8,i did Lord of the Rings yesterday
Using Dvd-decryptor for ripping "all files"
Choosed from Harddisc to dvd writer
Loaded IFO,leaved all on autom, unchecked foreign subtitles, keeping englisg/dutch subs only, all the rest on disc
Burning files also whit IC,no probs all was complete in ab 5 hours
The quality is pretty perfect,in short words "good for watching"
no skips, checked to the end on a PS2
also booted fine on my stand-alone's(Sony/Panasinic)

so yes np whit lord of the rings and IC;) whit good results

This is too weird, anyone else backup LOTR. I have ripped and re ripped it with different tools. Then tried and retried IC to make this backup and everythime it gets to about 7-8% and just stops. then the program will shut down and wants to send one of those dumb error reports. Could it be the demo version. Maybe I need the full version. I did order it. (before I had this problem, I hope I didn't waste my money) I hope someone can lend a little insight on this problem. Anyone else have IC just crash on them.

I have a
2200 Athlon XP
512 DDR
Win XP pro
2-120gb HD 7200
2-80gb HD 7200
1-DVD-r Toshiba SDR 5002
2-CDRW's

I have tried to use different hard drives too.

You try the DVDDecryptor -> ISO -> DaemonTools (Or Alchohol120) route alot of people are reporting success with?

i have the same prob with lord of the rings
stops in the middle of the menu 13%
so i made it so the menu doesnt get reencoded 100%
then it gets past the whole menu and stops in the first minutes of the opening credits
